Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 2026
Welcome to Digital Research Panel (digitalresearchpanel.com). We respect your privacy and are deeply committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our website and suite of maritime, radio, and signal tools.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
At Digital Research Panel, privacy is built into our core functionality. We do not require you to create an account, register, or provide any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or phone number to access our main suite of tools and simulators.
2. Local Browser Processing
The vast majority of our utilities are designed to be 100% browser-based. This includes, but is not limited to, our Morse Code Converters, NATO Alphabet Processors, Nautical Flag Size Calculators, and Ship Handling Simulators.
- No Data Storage: The text, signals, audio inputs, or settings you enter into these tools are processed entirely on your local device.
- No Data Transmission: We do not upload, transmit, or save your inputs to our external servers or databases. Once you close or refresh your browser tab, that local session data is gone.
3. AI-Powered Tools & External APIs
Certain specific tools on our platform, such as the AI DNV RuleAgent, rely on external artificial intelligence APIs to process your queries and generate responses.
When you interact with these AI tools, your specific text prompts are securely transmitted to our third-party AI providers for processing. Please do not submit sensitive, confidential, or proprietary vessel/company information into any AI chat interface, as prompt data may be processed externally.
4. Usage Data and Analytics
Like most websites, we may collect non-personally identifiable information that your browser sends whenever you visit our site (“Usage Data”).
This Usage Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other diagnostic data. We use standard, aggregated analytics tools solely to understand website traffic, monitor performance, and improve our user experience.
5. Cookies
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our service and hold certain non-personal information. Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some interactive portions of our website.
6. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our tools are intended for professional, academic, and enthusiast use. Our Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
